Information you provide

Hearth collects your email for account access and invitations, along with household details and financial records you enter: assets, balances, transactions, mortgages, income, expenses and optional property addresses. We use this information to provide your household’s wealth overview and related calculations. Hearth does not request bank credentials.

Storage and access

Account and financial records are stored with Supabase. The current Hearth database is in the United States, in AWS region us-east-1. Database row-level security limits access through the app to household members. Supabase and the server-side services running Hearth also process records to operate the service.

Service providers and market lookups

Vercel hosts the website and application and processes web requests. Supabase provides authentication, storage and server-side functions. These providers may process technical request information, including IP addresses, to deliver their services.

Market lookups send stock tickers to Finnhub, property addresses to RentCast when valuations are enabled, and public series codes and date ranges to FRED. They do not send your name, email, balances or transaction history. A property address can identify a home, so enable RentCast only for addresses you want to submit.

Cookies and local preferences

The app uses cookies for login sessions. Hearth does not add analytics or advertising cookies or tracking scripts. Your browser also stores preferences, such as appearance, in local storage. The marketing site does not require a login cookie. We do not display a cookie banner for these current uses.

Deletion and questions

To request account and associated data deletion, contact: [Hearth privacy contact to be provided by the product owner]. This contact must be completed before public launch. Household records may be shared with other members; the scope of a deletion request needs to account for those shared records.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest version. See the security page for how access works and the terms of use for using Hearth.
